The Beginning and the Growth of the Company

Our company is a family business with a long history. During the Japanese occupation of Taiwan, Mr. Liang Chen started the business by manufacturing agricultural machinery to comply with the demands of the agricultural policy of the Japanese government. Mr. Liang Chen always taught the family members the ultimate principle of “sincerity and reliability,” whether it was for business or the interaction with people. He also insisted that they possess a social conscience that “when one benefits from a society, one must then return the favor to the society”.

1950

When Taiwan became a part of the Republic of China after World War II, the company re-established itself as Ta-Tien Manufacturer for Agricultural Instruments Co., Ltd and continued to manufacture agricultural instruments. The company also started to set foot in the production of parts for motorcycles.

1958

In light of the fact that the Taiwanese government had put great effort in promoting the use of machinery in agriculture, the company began focusing on the production, sale, and service of agricultural machines. The products included tractors, tillers, and others.

1971

To further the development of the company, the succeeding owners of Ta-Tien Agricultural Machinery Co., the brothers, Yien-Chiuan Chen and Kin-Si-Lang Chen, decided to change the business structure. While Yien-Chiuan Chen would be the head of the original Ta-Tien Manufacturer for Agricultural Instruments Co., the young brother, Kin-Si-Lang Chen would start a new company as Ta-Tien Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd and concentrate on the sale and service of agricultural machines. At the same time, the new company started to partner with the Japanese company YANMAR and functioned as the sole agent in sale and service for YANMAR’s engines in Taiwan. The company also provided customers’ feedback and suggestions to YANMAR. The long-time collaboration with YANMAR led to a mutual trust between the two companies. As a result, the company started to manufacture and service other specialized parts for YANMAR.

1991

In response to the shrinking market in agricultural machines, the successor of the company, Ming-Da Chen, redirected the company’s focus towards the production of parts and compartments for strapping machines. The company was renamed as Lun Hsiang Industrial Co., Ltd. Since then, Lun Hsiang has accumulated many years of professional experience.
